AUTUMN COTSWOLDS WEEKEND

A weekend to celebrate an early Thanksgiving with my nearest and dearest in the cozy Cotswolds.

TRIP DETAILS & INFORMATION

  • Thursday, Nov 20th – Sunday, Nov 23rd

  • Broadway in the Cotswolds

  • We have the chance to reserve the house, but I need to lock it in by Saturday Nov 8th (a lot of places are booking up fast). Photos below.

    • There are 7 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.

    • Bedroom 1: King Bed

    • Bedroom 2: King Bed

    • Bedroom 3: King Bed

    • Bedroom 4: King Bed

    • Bedroom 5: 1 Double Bed

    • Bedroom 6: 1 Double Bed

    • Bedroom 7: 2 Single Beds

    There are also three couches and two good rooms for air mattresses if people want to crash there.

  • Super relaxed with no set itinerary. We’ll have plenty of time to unwind, enjoy country walks, explore the Cotswolds, and of course, throw a proper house party. I will also be cooking up a storm.

  • Thursday, Nov 20th

    • Arrival in the afternoon. We can either drive together or separately (whichever is easiest). If you’re driving with me, we’ll stop by Daylesford for any extra bits. If you're driving separately, feel free to meet us there or head straight to the house.

    • Check-in is at 4 pm, but if you need to come later, no worries!

    • Dinner at 8 pm – I'll prepare a spread with options for omnivores, vegetarians, and vegans.

    Friday, Nov 8th

    • Breakfast: Brunch spread

    • Dinner followed by a house party

    Saturday, Nov 9th

    • Breakfast: Brunch spread

    • Thanksgiving Dinner at 4 pm

    • Bon fire in the evening

    Sunday, Nov 10th

    • Breakfast: Easy options

    • Check out at 10 am

    • Option 1: Head to Thyme for a chill day and then enjoy Sunday roast at The Double Red Duke Pub at 1:30 pm (Thyme is about 50 minutes away and on the way back to London).

    • Option 2: Head back home if that works better for your schedule.

  • Things to Do at the Manor House:

    • Relax and Sleep: Unwind in cozy rooms or lounges, catch up on sleep, or enjoy some quiet time with a book.

    • Watch Sports: We’ll have a TV set up for anyone who wants to watch the games playing.

    • Games & Fun:

      • Lawn games like croquet, bocce, or badminton in the garden (depending on the weather).

      • Card games, board games, or a fun poker night in the evening.

      • Tennis: There is a tennis court available so bring your tennis whites and rackets if interested.

      • Fire Pit: Get cozy and make a s’more or two.

    • Country Walks: The house is surrounded by beautiful countryside, perfect for leisurely walks through the Cotswolds’ rolling hills and scenic villages.

    Nearby Towns to Explore:

    • Broadway (5 mins away): Broadway is a charming village full of honey-colored cottages, art galleries, and quaint cafes. Don’t miss:

      • Broadway Tower: A historic tower offering stunning views of the Cotswolds.

      • The Lygon Arms: A historic inn with great food and a cozy pub.

    • Chipping Campden (10 mins away): A picturesque town with beautiful architecture, famous for the wool trade. Highlights include:

      • The Market Hall: A 17th-century structure perfect for a photo stop.

      • Hidcote Manor Garden: Stunning arts-and-crafts gardens to explore.

    • Stow-on-the-Wold (20 mins away): Known for its historic market square, antique shops, and pubs.
